As a lifelong writer, it’s high time I set up my website.
While I build this, I’ll also be continuing work on the upcoming children’s book, Pebble Skins and Fast Walker: What’s in a Name?
It’s an illustrated book with lots of drawings of the animals, fun facts, and the meanings and stories behind their names. For example – did you know that the Aztecs called armadillos āyōtōchtli? And that it means gourd-rabbit? There’s much more than the 9-banded armadillo we find in North America.
I’ll be sharing small bits of Pebble Skins and Fast Walkers over the next several months. It’s a tight schedule with a lot of work to be done, and I can’t wait to share the Kickstarter with you. I’m so happy you’ll be along for the ride! Be sure to share your thoughts on this journey of mine, writing is often so lonely that it’s nice to hear someone’s out there reading.
If you want to keep up on all my writing and illustration, take a moment to sign up for my newsletter. You’ll get an email every time I post something new; and when the book is closer to publication, you’ll be the first to have access to a Kickstarter special.
